DPCM 119     BE2e
The BE2e entered service in 1916 and remained in service long after it became obsolete.
Out-classed by the German Albatros and Halberstradt scouts in late 1916, the RFC suffered mounting casualties due to the fact that  there was nothing suitable to replace them. By the time the Armistice was signed in November 1918, most BE2e's that remained
in service were employed as trainers.  The BE2e was used for Photo- Reconnaissance with
a secondary role of night and day bomber.
